Sudden Death
Everything had been planned for a four day photo expedition in which I planned to engage targets in some not-so-often visited theaters, starting this morning. But yesterday evening, my trusted, robust and battle tested Canon PowerShot S40 died a sudden death - while reviewing some snapshots, it suddently went dark and remained so since. Immediate field surgery aimed at identifying and solving possible mechanical or electromechanical problems in the camera's inside failed, field diagnosis reads: electrical circuit or processing unit damaged, Canon maintenance platoon required. And there it goes, my Easter expedition. (No, I do not want to pull out my old SLR gear. This is a public holiday here in Germany, so I couldn't buy good films anyway.)
