Coke Dry Quenching Apparatus
Dismantled Kaiserstuhl 3 coke plant, Dortmund, Germany, with a remainder of the coke dry quenching apparatus in the foreground. This 1992 apparatus was the industrial-sized successor of the experimental dry quenching facility at nearby Hansa coke plant. In the far background, a backup standard quenching tower.
