One thing that fascinates me these days is how fast new blogging tools keep popping up. Ben Hammersley had this "More like this from others" idea, and one or two days later, someone releases a Movable Type plugin - voila. But there are loads of stuff more to play around with:

• mail2entry script for MT by Joi Ito converts emails into MT entries. Something to really think about, as on the road, sending email is still way easier than getting full-blown web access. Joi also compiled a list of moblog resources. SMS blogging and glogging might appear a bit esoteric to some, though.
• Douglas not only has some FOAF/Jabber-interfaces, the related links list on the same page also points to such interesting projects as the FOAFnaut or FOAF Web View
• blo.gs RSS ping for Movable Type improves your MT blo.gs pings with a link to your RSS feed. Also by Mark, TBPY is "a Trackback server CGI for the rest of your site", not limiting Trackback pings to blog entries any more.
• With available RSS Validation with SOAP and upcoming XHTML validation of the same fashion, we might see self-validating blogging tools soon.
• Also hot these days, there is the discussion on using Creative Commons within RSS, and Ben already has a draft of a RSS 1.0 Creative Commons module that "adds metadata [to a feed] regarding the copyright license under which the resources an RSS feed describes are released."
