Deltron Cinema Disk seems to be one of the most versatile Video-iPod-wannabe solutions so far:

• Plays MP3, JPEG, MPEG-I, VCD, SVCD, MPEG-II, MPEG 4 (simple profile), Motion JPEG files
• Pictures and movies can be played on TV or projector through the built-in S-Video and Composite Video output (NTSC/PAL). MP3 and JPEG can be played simultaneously
• On Screen Display on TV/projector for easy operation with infrared remote control
• Storage media: 1 x 2.5" HDD 20, 30, 40 or 60 GB in FAT16 or FAT32 format, UltraDMA 100/ 66 IDE interface; 1 x CF Type II-socket for Type-I, Type-II CF Cards and Microdrives
• One Touch CF card backup: Digital Camera users can easily backup the CF card data (pictures). When connected to a computer, the Cinema Disk also works like a normal card reader
• Mobile Disk: The HD can be used liked a normal external harddisk
• USB 2.0 or Firewire interface
• 13.9 x 8 x 2.6 cm

With jukebox and data safe for the digital camera in one device, this thing could be interesting to travelers. I am not sure if the video player is of great value as long as you can't install own codecs.

In related news via Vowe and Heise, Griffin Technology did it again: iTrip adds a tiny FM transmitter to your iPod, so that you can listen to it on your car stereo without needing cable connectors. It is not the first device of such kind, but competition seems far behind: IRock! sucks according to this review, and TransPod is both too ugly and too expensive.
