As I still don't have a solution for a Quick Links XML feed (the usual approach with one link per item is very limited), I will post them here on the main blog instead of in the sidebar for now, so they are included in the index.xml feed. Consider this a temporary solution.

For those unfamilar with the Quick Links, they link to both on- and off-topic places I came across on the web that I consider interesting or entertaining, but that didn't make it into a full blog entry. Today's list is quite long - on most days, it is much shorter. Find earlier entries in the archives.

Heute abend zeigt RTL II die ersten Folgen von 24, einer auffallend guten Fernsehserie mit nur scheinbar simpler Idee und Kiefer Sutherland als Hauptdarsteller (Mia Krishner ist endlich auch mal wieder zu sehen, was der Sachen wirklich keinen Abbruch tut), die sogar mich als TV-Abstinenzler vor die Kiste ziehen wird. Nicht wegen der massiven Werbekampagne des Senders und auch nicht wegen der Schwärmereien, die fast jede Zeitung vorab abgedruckt hat - gesehen habe ich die Serie schließlich schon. Interessant wird zu hören sein, wie die Synchonisierung gelungen ist: gerade die ersten Folgen sind im Grundton sehr ruhig, die Darsteller sprechen trocken, sachlich, unaufgeregt - so gar nicht, wie die meisten Serien-Synchronsprecher es in ihrem hektischen, vermeindlich Action versprechenden Ton tun dürfen. Aber vielleicht war RTL II ja doppelt mutig: nicht nur die Serie zu zeigen, sondern auch Synchronsprecher einzusetzen, die die Stimmung nicht kaputt machen.
