RTFM or how to link to PDF files

If you have clicked on the PDF link below the blast furnace photo in this entry, you might have noticed that the PDF does not open on page 1, but on the relevant page and in fit-to-viewport zoom mode. Looks like reading specs can have its rewards, as linking to pages or destinations/bookmarks within a PDF file is a feature several versions of Acrobat old, but hardly known. The Acrobat 4 help file describes how it works:
