I am just testing a DELL Inspiron 510m notebook with a 15" SXGA+ panel - which is a panel to fall in love with. While my own DELL notebook's panel has an even higher dpi value (14" SXGA+), this display is just perfect for working in Photoshop and for editing text in Textpad or InDesign (XP's ClearType is a dream). It delivers very high contrast, neutral-to-cool colors, excellent grey values and a much crispier image than the Acer 15" XGA notebook panel I've been using for a while now. Distinguishing between the 0% and 5% and the 95% and 100% grey fields of a color test chart is no problem at all - a requirement my older DELL panel has never been able to meet (not exactly surprising for a first-affordable-generation high-dpi-panel). Given that the integrated speakers even produce some bass, I won't argue about other aspects of this machine, but am just a happy camper for now.
