A one week trip through Berlin, Brandenburg and Saxony-Anhalt served as a first prolonged test for my Nokia E61 and the O2 UTMS service. Tasks included googlemailing, using websites, checking newsfeeds, taking notes, looking up maps, satellite photos and POI databases, annotating maps, downloading and reading PDF files, using it as a laptop UMTS modem, telephoning (hear! hear!) and more. Summary: Excellent device that can largely supersede the laptop computer when on tour. I wouldn't want to do without again. Same is true for mobile full internet access to which I got used to almost instantly. Going back to a phone with small keyboard and screen is not an option, either. Small but notable quirks include the lack of copy/paste functionality in the number fields of contacts which would make using numbers contained in notes or documents much easier - but this is nitpicking compared to the general usefulness of this great tool.
